Kevin – Thursday. After a very long, intense day of field work yesterday, I’ve decided to take it easy today. Not resting, but take it easy.
On my schedule: Get my wash done since yesterday was kind of muddy. Work on a couple of blog posts now that I have internet service again. Clean up some photography for the blogs. Shopping is necessary now that there’s a large food store nearby and I’m out of consumables.
At 3 PM, Denny calls asking what I’m doing. Apparently, both of us got our wires crossed and I’m scheduled to be at the Historic Trails Center for a newspaper interview. I had it down for tomorrow (Friday) but the reporter is wondering where I’m at. We reschedule and scratch our heads wondering how we got it so wrong. We’re not accustomed to have to interact with people much anymore.
One thing I can say; no camera on earth of which I’m aware can adequately capture what the human eye can see. The photos from yesterday, though beautiful, just don’t do justice to what it looked like in person. This is a view of Laramie Peak from the top of the ridge yesterday.
